Get Your Greens Juice

Apparently it’s still cold and flu season, because Little C has had a fever since Thursday and I am desperately doing everything I can to keep from getting what she has. Fighting a flu means taking in tons of vitamins, fluids, and lots of juicing. This green juice is a glorious mix of kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, and cucumber, and aside from having general overall health indications, these veggies also fight cardiovascular disease and cancer. All of the green veggies in this blend are packed with the Vitamin K, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C necessary to fight colds, and the antioxidants in them have anti-inflammatory properties. If you’re not totally sold on just greens, add an apple to sweeten the juice a bit. YUM.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head romaine
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 large handfuls of spinach
  • 6 sprigs parsley
  • 1 apple (optional)

How to do it:

  1. Wash all produce and juice
  2. Drink it down!
  3. Easy, right?
