I love getting inspired by juices that I try at other places and trying to recreate them at home. This double kale juice is inspired by one of my favorite restaurants, Cafe Vida. They focus on fresh, natural and organic foods and have a KILLER juice bar with all sorts of awesome fruit and veggie juices. This particular juice combines dino and curly kale, apple, lime, and ginger for a super green and spicy punch! I’ve been bottling our juice in glass bottles from Rejuice, one of the juice shops that we frequent when we haven’t made our own, and then storing it in the fridge for a day or two so that we have lots of juice on hand. Let me know what you guys think of this one!
Ingredients:
- 1 large bag curly leaf kale
- 1 large bag jacinto kale (aka dino kale)
- 2 apples
- Fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 lime
How to do it:
- Wash kale, cut out any of the tough center stalk
- Peel and chop ginger
- Wash and slice apples
- Peel and slice lime
- Juice everything together, serve and enjoy!
