One of the things that I love about traveling to Utah during the winter months is that I can layer to my heart’s content without turning myself into a sweat lodge and suffering from self-imposed heat stroke. And clearly, as you can see from the mountains in the background covered in snow, it was quite chilly while we were there. I had a lot of fun layering up and playing with various textures and prints while keeping things cohesive by sticking to a simple black/white/gray color scheme. Wearing a neutral palette is a great way to experiment with various patterns and still look styled versus looking like you just threw a bunch of stuff together haphazardly.

Quick note on the pieces in this look: the Free People pullover top is soooo crazy comfy and versatile that I got it in both the black and olive, and both the jeans and the booties I’m wearing are on sale! All great pieces that I totally love and absolutely would buy again. Also a huge thank you to Elan for my super comfy gray shaggy sweater vest! I’ve been on the hunt for a fun boho-feel shag vest and I can’t wait to pair this one with dresses and shorts as the weather warms back up (and lucky for you guys its on sale!!!). YAY after-Christmas sales!!! Happy Tuesday, babes!
