Day-to-Night Office Styling with Charlotte London

It’s almost Friday!!!! SO looking forward to the weekend – pumpkin carving, miss C’s soccer game, breakfast at Kerbey Lane…ever since we moved one of the greatest things that I’ve found is that we have developed routines, traditions, normal “family stuff”. This is C’s second year in her soccer league which plays every Saturday morning (last year was a brutal 8am game but this year 10am is much more agreeable), and after the game we head to breakfast at Austin staple Kerbey Lane for chocolate chip pancakes and chilaquiles. I look forward to it all week. Back home it was hard to create routines or traditions, everything felt so spread out and foreign, even in Culver City. Here, it feels like home, which I love.

BUT! On to the fashion (cause that’s what we are really here for, right?). We have had a lot of requests lately for office looks that can easily transition to a date night look, and who better to bring that to you than the queen of the transitional blazer, Charlotte London, known for her iconic lady-like blazers that have an elegant twist. We love how she incorporates metallic threads and padded shoulders to create blazers that are more than just a basic add-on to your daily work wear (and her prices are pretty killer, too).

We paired this blazer with a tee from do-good company n:Philanthropy, who donate 10% of all net proceeds back to the ASCPCA and pediatric cancer research. If you’re looking for comfy, everyday basics with a twist (think deconstructed tees and ripped-hem sweatshirts) then they are the perfect company for you – because along with great product, you get to give back to things that truly matter. We LOVE a great company that understands how important it is to give back!

When it comes to looks that transition well from work wear to night wear, the length and style of skirt is definitely important. This Fifteen Twenty mini is great because it has a faux leather look and an asymmetrical hem that adds some fun while still being office-appropriate. The back is a stretchy jersey knit so it’s SUPER comfy, and it’s currently on sale (this is a size XS but a S would have been fine too)…so…it’s kind of a no-brainer. We finished the look off with some simple faux-suede booties to add just a bit more dimension and texture to the outfit, and these are currently $22 on sale (WOW) so yes, this is definitely a post filled with great deals. The best part about this day-to-night transition look is that unlike some, you don’t need to trade anything out to make it your “evening” look! The blazer totally works for evening, and the rest of the look speaks for itself. What do you guys think?
