This weekend was absolutely glorious, 85 degrees of warm sunny weather that felt like a sweet summer day. Packing up my coats and sweaters in favor of lighter pieces and shorts, my latest obsession with palm prints is continuing with no sign of letting up. Aside from wanting to drape myself in everything even palm-frond-reminiscent, the warm weather is making me crave cute separates so when I saw this absolutely GORGEOUS crop top and skirt from Tobi I instantly knew that it had to be mine. This adorable set fulfills both my palm frond cravings and love of matching separates (PS – if you haven’t shopped with Tobi before you get 50% off your first order!!). The skirt and top have unique stitching around the waist that creates a pleated look, and the top is fitted thanks to an elastic band; the skirt is elastic as well which I love because you can wear it high-waisted or around your hips and it fits well either way. I also adore the peep-hole in the back of the top, it just adds that extra little bit of adorable detail (not that the outfit needs it, it’s pretty freaking cute all on it’s own). I would wear this to a garden party, baby shower, wedding shower, girls day out, brunch…the options are endless and if you aren’t yet comfortable with matching sets, you can switch out the top or bottom and mix it up. Definitely a must-have for Spring and Summer!
I’m not sure why I’ve been so in love with separates lately, but I seriously want to wear matching pieces all the time, and the louder the print the better (which is odd for me since I’m generally a black, white, neutral gal and stripes are the closest I get to patterns). I have a few different pants suits picked out and a few other with shorts and matching jackets that I’m coveting….I’ve been going more outside of my comfort zone lately (look for more pretty prints coming this week) and I’m enjoying it! What do you guys think about printed separates? Yay?
