First off. WHAT.A.WEEK. I’m so sorry for the spaced out posts, I don’t think that I’ve missed two days in a week since my grandfather passed away. Sometimes we all just need a break though you know? Being a human being just catches up from time to time…and the little and I caught some sort of cold/flu bug. So apologies for not being more on top of it this week and for slower responses on your sweet comments. Now, the good stuff.
You ever have a piece that you lust over for ages but can’t quite justify the price tag on? Yeah I have some too ;). And for at least the last two years I’ve wanted a leopard-print clutch. Badly. So badly that there were a lot of times that I put one in my online cart and toyed with the idea of ordering it, but I just could not get over that over $250 price point. So I lusted, and wished, and dreamed about the perfect leopard clutch. Enter Essex LA and their insanely cool ‘Louie’ clutch. Founders Mario and Glynn got together and decided they wanted to ‘make one simple thing and make it really really well’. And boy have they ever. From Italian leathers to gunmetal zippers, these two are KILLING it. Each of their bags are made-to-order and cut and sewn right here in Los Angeles
BUT WAIT. It gets even cooler…you get to customize your bag! Choose the leather, the lining, the zipper – each bag is unique to you and the sky’s the limit. I’m usually more of a neutrals gal but there was something about that bright shocking pink against the leopard that I couldn’t resist; I wanted to do a fun liner as well to complement the pink so I went with an emerald hue. The hardest part for me was choosing between all of the amazing leathers, there is this insane purple tie-dye leather called ‘Purple Break‘ and a white and black washed leather denoted as ‘Spring Break‘ that are both just so gorgeous that I can’t wait to create my next clutch. Since Essex’s inception they have added some additional bag styles and special editions to their line, but I am still hooked on the Louie. Long story short, I AM IN LOVE.
