Welcome to the new site!! I hope that you all love it as much as I do 🙂 The site is now way more mobile friendly, has a great search capability, and is all over streamlined and spruced up! A huge thanks to Philippe at Black The Digital Agency for my awesome redesign!
I never truly appreciated light or photography until I started using a camera. When I decided to start ‘My Life As Maya’ back in October, I had no clue how to shoot photos or how cameras really worked beyond the general point and shoot stuff. Thanks to trial and error as well as some great advice from photog friends, I have slowly gotten more comfortable with shooting and playing around with light and composition (and even got a new lens). The lighting when we went to see Frozen was perfect for me to snap some fun shots of the two C’s and experiment with shooting into the slowly setting sun. Little C is a total water baby mermaid and even though she wasn’t feeling 100% she demanded that we allow her to visit the fountain, which turned into her throwing off her little ballet flats and attempting to leap into the water. Luckily we held her back but she was allowed to dangle her bare toes in the water. I loved the way the light bounced off the water, creating beautiful colors and reflections.
Several of you asked about where Little C’s sweatshirt and amazing zip pocket leggings were from, so I wanted to do a baby swag outfit post with all of the details. Her rad 80’s throwback vintage-feel crewneck is by Tiny Whales, an amazing company that makes the coolest little people threads ever. Their gear is unique and hip, and my only complaint is that they don’t make adult clothing because I would rock their duds in a heartbeat. How cute is this ‘Wildflower Soul’ tee of theirs? I need it for Little C. And how cute are her cargo pants with the little zippers? They totally remind me of something I would wear. Thanks for reading loves!
