NeriumAD: The Battle Against Aging

I was recently given the awesome opportunity to test out a skincare line called Nerium AD, and while I was at first hesitant to alter my skincare routing, I am SO glad that I did. Spending years out in the sun and in tanning beds (oopsies) sans sunscreen (double oopsies) gave me some pigmentation, discoloration, and fine lines on my face. Over the last few years I’ve started to really notice the lines in my forehead, at the corners of my eyes, and the side of my mouth. However, with absolutely no idea where to start the battle with my skin, I just continued with the same lotions I’ve always used (and obviously saw no changes). Fast forward to a few months ago: a woman who sells NeriumAD products contacted me and asked if I would be interested in trying out the line (free of charge!). It’s hard to say no to free product, and I was really intrigued when she explained that the Nerium line is dedicated to fighting signs of aging.   Specially formulated to fight fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, and loose skin, NeriumAD utilizes the unique and beneficial age-fighting properties of the Nerium oleander plant. As you know, I am very conscious about what I put in my body and what I put ON my body is no different, so I love that NeriumAD doesn’t contain the chemical crap that the majority of skincare products have like propylene glycol, sulfates, parabens, gluten, DEA, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, PABA, or synthetic colors.

Ok, on to the results. Within a week I noticed that the lines on my forehead became less noticeable and the crepiness around my eyes became quite a bit less pronounced. My skin felt softer, and the pigmentation and sunspots faded; my skin felt moisturized and tighter. Needless to say I was pleased. I tried out both the day and night cream; for a few weeks I used them in tandem and then for another few weeks I experimented with just the day cream and then just the night cream to see if my results would change. The night cream has a higher concentrate of the oleander extract, and is thick and luxurious on the skin. The day cream, which contains tripeptides, Vitamin C complex, and green tea extract along with the oleander extract, is quite a bit lighter and while I found it to be somewhat moisturizing, my skin was not very pleased with the green tea or the Vitamin C (it got a bit patchy and dry). I also noticed once I started using just the day cream that my results were less prominent, and alternatively when I was using just the night cream my results were just as good as they were when I was using the two creams in tandem. With all that said, I really highly recommend the NeriumAD Age-Defying Treatment (night cream); I love the way my skin feels in the morning and how it looks, and I’m definitely planning on continuing to use it. The day cream is decent and it’s possible that it could be great for your skin, but mine just wasn’t having it. I always read lots of reviews before I try out something new, whether I’m buying a blow dryer or a new nail polish, and the best kinds of reviews are the unbiased ones (obviously mine is not biased), so I hope that this gives you some confidence in trying out the Nerium line! If you guys have any questions about the products, feel free to contact Jill (the woman who shared this awesomeness with me), this is her email and website.

Also-happy freaking Friday. I’m so glad that it’s almost the weekend, this mama is worn out! Ready for a day off 🙂
