So……I have a confession….I have a serious denim and shoe obsession. Those are my “things” when it comes to shopping; shoes and jeans are what I drool over and lust after. Specifically I tend to gravitate towards black, booties, destructed looks (i.e. holes), and moto styles with zippers, quilted knees, etc. And, as a connoisseur of denim, it is quite honestly my duty to share my current favorite denim obsessions with all of you. When I do private shopping for clients and friends, I find that one of the main things that people always need help with is finding the right denim that works for them and is also on-trend. So. I have hand-picked some of my current faves for you guys (with little explanations as to why you probably NEED each and every one of these 😉 Enjoy!
I couldn’t resist these Paige ‘Indio’ Zip Detail Skinny Jeans in (Ramone Destructed). Holes and rips? Check. Black? Check. Skinny? Check. Zippers and moto details? Yeah, you get my point. The perfect rock and roll skinny jean. Totally timeless, and Paige denim lasts FOREVER. One of my favorite denim designers of all time.
A light wash boyfriend skinny jean is a staple piece and a must for fall weather, paired with booties and a tank with a plaid button up like this one for some added warmth. I love the color of these Billabong Destroyed Boyfriend Jeans (and the price!).
Cute pockets are key especially when you want to give your booty a lift. These V’igoss New York’ Flap Pocket Skinny Jeans have a similar look to Hudson’s jeans but come at a third of the cost without cutting quality. Love.
Ok ok, I know that I listed these a while back when I was talking about the anniversary sale, but these Vigoss ‘Jagger’ Coated Skinny Jeans are so amazing that I had to bring them back once again (which should tell you how serious I am about these). YOU MUST HAVE COATED SKINNIES! They look exactly like leather but are vegan (yay animals!) and come at a price that is totally justifiable.
Colored skinnies seem to always be on-trend, the only thing that varies is which colors are popular during different seasons. During the colder months, grays and jewel tones seem to take over, and these Hudson Jeans ’Nico’ Mid Rise Skinny Stretch Jeans (Mulberry Wax) are on point. The warm rich color screams holidays and would look gorgeous with a black blouse. A little more dressy than normal denim, colored skinnies like these are great for holiday parties, work, and date nights.
With the 90’s rage trend continuing, these rag&bone/JEAN ‘Skinny Stretch Jeans’ (Sloane Plaid Repair) skinny jeans with plaid patches and destruction are definitely going to be on point for the upcoming season. Paired with booties and a thick oversized sweater or relaxed boyfriend tee, these jeans are versatile and just different enough to stand out. While not what I would consider a staple piece per say, they are certainly fun and splurge-worthy.
Every woman needs a pair of dark wash well-fitted skinny jeans in her closet. This is the quintessential staple piece. The jean that is more important than all others, the denim that is a must-have nonnegotiable NEED. Tailored perfectly to hit at the ankle these Paige Denim ‘Skyline’ Ankle Peg Skinny Jeans (Dixie) are perfection in jean form. Definitely endorsing these (cause I have them!).
Perfect gray color, perfect skinny leg fit, awesome stitching, and FAB price; these Dittos Seamed Moto Skinny Jeans (Grey Black Doheny) are pretty much perfect. If you have never tried a pair of moto skinnies, trust me and take a leap of faith and try these out. I promise you will love them. The perfect mix of edge and sophistication, the moto skinny is something that every closet needs to have.
Yup, that’s right, two pairs of moto jeans IN A ROW. These Hudson Jeans Stark Moto Pants in (Rakke) were just far too cool to pass up, and as aforementioned I do have an affinity for anything with “moto” in the title. The gray color is on point for fall/winter, and the black zipper details? Amazing. Don’t even get me started on the knee stitching. LOVE.
These McGuire ‘GOTHAM’ SKINNY JEANS (THE ROYALS) made it into my selection because of their unique fly zipper and button closure (and I love the cut and color of them as well). I am always on the lookout for denim that has something unique about it, some sort of “character” in a sense, whether that be a cool color, cut, or neat hardware. The zipper on these jeans feels like a throwback to the 70’s and while the jeans are pretty pricey, I realllllly love them.
