The majority of my closet is either black or white…with pops of gray and lately some maroon here and there. I love color on other people, but when it comes to dressing myself I am always drawn to the classic simplicity of black and white. This outfit mirrors that simplistic feel – the clean lines of the structured blazer, the asymmetrical pencil skirt adding some dimension to keep the horizontal stripes of the crop top from ruling the show. And as we know, I’m a huge fan of juxtaposition so combining a look like this one with some black calf hair slip-ons creates a rather unexpected edge; rather than styling this with some black gladiator heels (my first thought) I was drawn to the slip-ons instead.
