I love clothes. I love fashion. I love everything about it-except the price point. If it were up to me, I would be draped in Prada and Givenchy and would have an unlimited amount of funds to dedicate to my wardrobe. HOWEVER. That is not the case-I’m a mom, I live in LA (hello expensive housing), and I don’t exactly need Manolo Blahnik kitten heels for my IT job (I’m generally in jeans or workout pants). I loved perusing fashion blogs, but a lot of the time I found myself feeling pretty damn bummed out staring at the thousand dollar black leather leggings and three thousand dollar bags. I embarked on a journey, to find pieces that looked like the high fashion items I craved, at much more affordable prices; prices that even a young working mom could afford. This is how Steal vs. Splurge was born. We all have our “splurge” pieces, that Stella McCartney sheath dress, Balenciaga python tote; but most of the time, we want to be able to buy stuff without having to sell our kidneys on the black market. Steal vs. Splurge has drool-worthy designer items and their equally gorgeous but less heart attack-inducing counterparts. Want to see something on here? Ask me. I love looking for steals and splurges!
